They fear so little as to have to love
and love again but
we are scared
they will hitus
and slap us
and rape us
and scared they will call it love
and scared they will touch us
and scared they will see us
and rob us
and we are scared they don't
want to see us know us or meet us
to love us
to build
but to hurt
and break us
and use us
and not want us
beyond,
just because we are a woman,
powerless
and you can hurt us
and because they hurt because they can
while we can't hurt you
for it hurts us.
We are scared we will have to cry
behind all that jovial laughter.
Please don't hurt us
If we can beg for mercy, we do,
don't love us since we deserve none but don't hurt
or rob us
don't know us at all
just to abuse or use us
when they know you don't want us
and when they can never want
