Every second
every word
every choice
is an accident
we choose
among the infinity
that could be,
instead,
to define us.
We are,
by chance.

When the eyes
take to the dark,
it takes seasons
to adjust to light

Numb

That which means everything
means nothing
enough to leave us numb
for words diminished it
until we learned that silence
is indefensible
and words alone are mirrors to the soul,
and that we'd rather diminish
than lose the soul.


Act.

Love and Hate

Why is there love
when we must fight for our own,
we must be first
and we must crush
and we must hate
and win
why then must we love
when we can hate
when our own
hate
and must win
We can't be loved
and why should we
when we are not even their own
when we can love anyone
as all others are,
and when we can win
by hating
and crushing
and will merely remain equal in love.
Do we need another?

Stars

The mind believed
in it's own reigns to
draw destiny
until it was told
it was moving with the stars
and we became mindless
and bettering stars
and lighting fires
to draw our destiny.

Expectations

You want her to please your eyes

even if she aches for it

and dies,
so you can rob her some more,

I am not here to please your eyes,

I'm comfortable,

and not into those highs
and happier having nothing
to be robbed of.

Tender

Words cant rise beyond the throat

Wordless,

I cant tell you you pain me

because I'm tender

and wordless

and scared

because you are all harsh

and I'm supposed to be harsh, too.

Threat

Rife with not trust

but suspicion

spins the world

niceness

is doubted

as benefit

and harshness threatens

no one helps anyone in trouble
too quick to feel used,

they flock to you in your joy,

innocence is doubted as fake

a means to sympathy,

and clever is a threat

Since

Friendship threatens

love threatens

niceness threatens

they want to doubt

so let me threaten you instead -

will you trust me more, then?

Don't use precious words
so coolly
don't love so soon
love only those
deserving of love
and deserving of you,
and any other kind of love lost
is better lost
since anyone not deserving of you
can only hurt
and no one as special deserves
hurt.

Down

What has hurt you

comes back again

to hurt again

so you could remain intoxicated by pain

and know that

everything lets you down,

again

and feel as helpless again.

Joy

love

a petal

a hug

a truth

a longing

a commitment

to be loved

and to love

without fear

and doubt

and the uncertainty of loss

and being used

is for those who can't value it

and did nothing to earn it,

and slap us

Did I limit you
rob you

or value what you give and are
and your body
when I can rob it too,
and the infinity
that we are,
which is
only limited by your
images, words and judgements
and need to rob my body,
as an infinity far beyond the body.

Crush

To crush is the way of the world
crush and conquer
and judge and malign
and empower
and we thought
equality and giving and protecting
not crushing
was respect
to make the small big
to give hope
and love
was joy
was abused
by those who crush
who could crush
and conquer
for all the small they were
and will still be.

And now we will crush
not to win
but to stand besides
equal, again
because we don't
want to be bigger,
We are,
and know
that bigness is not love
is not respect
is not relating
it is thwarting,
and being alone
for all the bigger we are than all the small
who must crush
to be.

While you seek your rise in
their lows
when the waves of high and low
escape no one
we will not see anyone fall,
nor make much of your or our rise,
but,
we will crush those who crush.

Hope

We hope and die
and hope and break
and hope is shaken
and hope again,
and we know we are not to hope
because we are meant to die
in the hands of hope.

unseen

All curves and looks and hair and flair
and all you can give
and the more in you to know,
is more reason to be hurt
means nothing
and all that matters is protecting
who you are,
and never being seen.

Choice

All the breaking can

free the fear of breaking

as much as have us fear life and love
and all,
forever forsaking.

Can we know

without falling,

or let hurt make us appreciate more the smallest flicker of light

befalling?

Significant

He matters and

she matters

he has a voice

she has a photo

he has a cause

she has a battle

he has his thoughts

she her judgements,

he his opinions

she her tastes

he wants to find his place

and she wants to fit in

while I have been

insignificant

and worthy of nothing.

I was nothing and

I am with nothing

I seeked nothing

and received nothing

I was causeless

and wordless

and exhibit nothing

and sacrifice my significance

to save the world of noise,

But I must

play my part too now,

and find my place and 

fight the noise

and be a noise

with answers

and fewer questions.
